Jakarta-STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT. Yunarto on Monday said based on the results of the Charta Politica survey, Ganjar Pranowo had the highest electability with 29.2 percent, followed by Prabowo Subianto (23 percent) and Anies Baswedan (20.2 percent).
Meanwhile, the figures chosen as vice president were led by Sandiaga Uno (25.4 percent), Ridwan Kamil (16.4 percent), and Khofifah Indar Parawansa (8.9 percent). Populi Center’s researcher and deputy executive director, Rafif Imawan also said Sandiaga was the most popular vice presidential candidate chosen by respondents in a recent survey conducted by pollster Populi Center.
Pollster Charta Politika in one of its recent surveys discovered that public confidence towards President Jokowi continues to decline in 2022 from 84.9 percent in January of 2022 and 81.0 percent in February 2022, to the latest 75.8 percent recorded in April 2022.
Charta Politika executive director Yunarto Wijaya said based on the survey, the Indonesian National Army recorded the highest in public trust with 85.2 percent. The president ranks the second with 75.8 percent, followed by the Indonesian National Police (Polri) in third place with 70.7 percent, and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in fourth with 69.9 percent.
The popularity of State-owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir as a potential vice president continues to rise, according to the survey, while the popularity of Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno declines. Other top vice presidential candidates based on the survey include Ganjar Pranowo, Prabowo Subianto, Anies Baswedan, Ridwan Kamil, and Agus Yudhoyono.
A recent survey by Indikator Publik Nasional found that Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto was the most popular presidential candidate for the 2024 election. Prabowo outperformed Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, Democratic Party Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, and House Speaker Puan Maharani.
If the presidential election were to be held now, the survey also found, Prabowo’s electability would be above 50 percent, and 60 percent if he competed against Economic Affairs Coordinating Minister Airlangga Hartarto. Other presidential candidates’ popularity based on the survey were less than 50 percent.
Prabowo’s popularity remains high but has been declining in the past year, pollster Indikator Politik Indonesia said on Wednesday, while the electability of Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan continued to increase between February to April.
