STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT. The COP-29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, has concluded. The meeting, attended by 80 heads of state and government, served as an important platform for discussing global climate policy. This forum focused on reducing the impacts of climate change, accelerating the energy transition, and increasing climate finance for developing countries.
COP-29 issued ten calls to address the climate crisis: 1) Water as the Center of Climate Action; 2) Global Partnership for Water Security; 3) Increasing Scientific Evidence; 4) Water-Based Climate Policy; 5) Utilizing Nature-Based Solutions; 6) Holistic Water Disaster Management; 7) Launch of the Standard Dialogue on Water for Climate Action; 8) Increasing Access to Finance; 9) Protection of Aquatic Biodiversity; 10) Commitment to the 2030 Agenda.
In line with COP-29’s emphasis on water as a key focus in addressing climate change, Rumah Energi is implementing the Community-Based Water Conservation project for Increasing Access to Clean and Safe Water. This project prioritizes water quality and safety, targeting grassroots communities in Karawang and Bekasi. It aims to raise awareness and knowledge about water access and pollution issues, as well as promote the use of appropriate and efficient technologies.
