STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will investigate the use of special autonomy funds (Otsus) in relation to the alleged bribery and gratuity case of the non-active Papua Governor Lukas Enembe. Head of KPK Reporting Section Ali Fikri stated that the investigation team would also review the application of the Money Laundering Criminal Act (TPPU) against Lukas.
“We will continue to develop the possibilities for applying other articles, whether the articles related to Article 2 or Article 3 or the Money Laundering Crime Article,” he said.
Ali explained that the investigation team would begin to deepen this matter when examining Lukas this week. The KPK charged Lukas with allegations of bribery and gratuities.
Lukas was suspected of receiving Rp 1 billion in bribes from the director of PT Tabi Bangun Papua (TBP) Rijatono Lakka in connection with the procurement of infrastructure projects at the PUTR Office of the Papua Provincial Government.
Rijatono had also been detained by the KPK. Lukas is also suspected of receiving gratuities of IDR 10 billion. However, the Corruption Eradication Committee has not yet disclosed the gratification parties.
For his actions, Lukas was suspected of violating Article 12 letter a or b or Article 11 and Article 12B of the Law on the Eradication of Corruption Crimes (Tipikor Law).
Previously, the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) had found gambling transactions in a casino by Lukas amounting to IDR 560 billion.
One of the residents in Keerom Jayapura stated that there were several impacts of the arrest of Lukas Enembe (LE), namely first, law enforcement in the form of arresting LE would have an impact on the emergence of a positive assessment that there is still legal action and the presence of the state in Papua, thus causing support for nationalist groups in Papua to increase. grow.
Second, law enforcement in the form of arresting LE will have a complete output and outcome in eradicating corruption in Papua, so that it does not happen again.
Third, the lack of support for LE from their support groups means that the legal apparatus will not hesitate to resolve it because the LE case has become the attention of the President.
“The final impact is that law enforcement against LE is expected to have an impact on reducing the supply of budget to the armed criminal group (KKB), so that they will give up and return to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” he hoped, asking that his personal secrets not be disclosed.
