STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has called Lukas Enembe’s lawyer namely Aloysius Renwarin and Stefanus Roy Rening who are going to interview by KPK as gratuities and bribes allegation which has been snared their client. Previously, KPK had been called Aloysius and Roy to meet KPK’s investigator later Thursday, but they were not fulfil the invitation, and because of that KPK is going to reschedule agenda. Lukas Enembe’s lawyer has been protected permission to Indonesia Advocate Association (Peradi).
Previously, they have been requested KPK to interview with them in Jayapura, Papua. Aloysius has claimed to call KPK investigation director, Asep Guntur Rahayu via his cellphone and Whatsapp chat application. Aloysisus has claimed his requested was approved by Asep. Meanwhile, KPK’s media officer head, Ali Fikri has denied that KPK has approved Aloysius’s request.
Several days ago, KPK had judged Lukas Enembe as the suspect of Papua’s regional income and expendicture budget (APBD). KPK had invited Enembe two times are September 6th as witness and September 24th as the suspect. But Lukas Enembe did not fulfil KPK’s invititation because he was ill. Enembe’s lawyer had made requested the interview will held in Jayapura, but the local situation in Papua has been rising after Enembe’s judged as verdict.
The Editor has underlined that KPK’s efforts to interview Enembe’s lawyer is the right path because previous news related this case, Enembes lawyer have been recorded make “negative opinion” which can call as having intention to obstruction of justice beyond their client case.
Both Aloysius Renwarin and Stefanus Roy Rening often issue horrendous statements such as the Minister of Political, Legal and Security Affairs, PPATK and the Chairperson of the KPK must apologize to Lukas Enembe for accusing him of receiving gratuities and bribes, so the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs and the Minister of Home Affairs must provide compensation to Enembe and even Enembe needs to be tried according to custom in Papua is not based on national law
It is hoped that the investigation into lawyer Lukas Enembe will be more cooperative or whether they can be subject to the applicable penalties because there is an intention to obstruct the law enforcement process.
