Biography of Andika Perkasa: Graduated from the Military Academy Now commander of the TNI
His TNI career began when he graduated from the Military Academy (Akmil) in 1987, where he was in Group 2/Para Kopassus Command. He also served in the elite counter-terror unit, Sat 81 Gultor Kopassus.
In 1990, Andika carried out a military operation in East Timor. At the same location, Andika has also carried out territorial operations. In 1994, he carried out military service operations in Aceh. He is also said to have carried out special operations missions in Papua.
In 2001, the son-in-law of the former head of BIN Hendropriyono served in the Ministry of Defense. He also had a career at Bais. In 2002, Andika served as Danyon 32 Group 3/Sandha Kopassus. Andika has also led the arrest of an alleged leader of Al Qaeda, Omar Al-Faruq, in Bogor in 2002.
Due to several shifts, in 2011 Andika was promoted to Commander of Rindam Jaya and received the rank of colonel. Andika was appointed Commander of Korem 023/Kawal Samudra in Sibolga in mid-2012. In less than a year, Andika was promoted to Head of the Information Service of the Indonesian Army, which earned her the rank of brigadier general (brigjen).
After 11 months as Kadispen, in October 2014 President Joko Widodo assigned Andika to the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres). In that position, Andika was promoted to major general (major general).
In May 2016, Andika was promoted to the position of Pangdam XII/Tanjungpura. Since then his career has continued to climb.
Andika was promoted three times during 2018. At the beginning of the year, he became the Commander of the Indonesian Army’s Doctrine, Education, and Training Development Command (Dankodiklat). In that position, Andika received the rank of lieutenant general (letjen) with 3 stars.
In July 2018, Andika was appointed Commander of Kostrad (Pangkostrad) Replacing Lt. Gene. Agus Kriswanto, who retired. Five months later, Andika was sworn in as the supreme leader of the Indonesian Army.
President Joko Widodo inaugurated General Andika Perkasa as Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) at the State Palace, Jl Veteran, Central Jakarta, on November 22, 2018.
For now there is no character or figure who can and is able to match Andika, Andika is very capable of leading Indonesia as president of Indonesia 2024-2029.
